Not for small companies from 'small' countries
My clients and I are from Belgium and have Dutch-language websites. The results I achieved from keywords were minimal, and I received no results in the competitor comparison at all. I received better and more relevant copies, descriptions, and headings when I used my AI tools (Straico), where I input and analyzed the website and social media. In the end, I only found the landing page analysis useful. It's a pity, but it doesn't cater to a small entrepreneur from a 'small' country like me. Perhaps it works better for large websites from larger countries with more available keywords.

Dec 19, 2024Hi Mark.
It's disappointing that you dragged the slider all the way down to give us one star. One-star reviews really negatively impact businesses. In this case, you're reviewing us as a keyword tool, which I think is a bit rough.
We are a PPC campaign-building platform. While we offer keyword tools as part of that functionality, they are not the core functionality.
Regardless, we are very transparent about using the SEMRush API. SEMRush boasts a database of 20 billion keywords across 120 countries. However, given the vastness of the internet, it’s possible that smaller websites may not yet be fully captured in their data.
You can explore the detailed stats behind their data here: https://www.semrush.com/stats/
In practice, we’ve observed that the data tends to be more comprehensive for U.S.-based websites, as their U.S. database is significantly larger. For example, while Canada’s database includes around 1 billion keywords, Iceland’s is limited to just 10 million.
That said, SEMRush remains one of the best tools on the market for its price. The only platforms offering more extensive coverage are typically enterprise-level solutions that cost $1,000 or more per month.
But we can only offer what they have in their database. No more more, and no less.
In other ways, we have worked hard and spent a lot of time catering to "small" countries and providing AI keyword clustering, AI keyword intent tools, and ad writing tools specifically for Dutch models. I think you'll find that fairly uncommon.
Anyway, I'd love it if you could reconsider your review as I think it's pretty extreme.
Thanks.
Jay.
