Solid Foundation to Start at

Coming from other big name CRM's (Pipedrive, Salesforce, Monday CRM, Zoho, etc), this CRM is well thought out. It has a great UI where navigating is pretty straightforward, and the UX is mostly hassle free.

Pros:
1. Contact linking to deals... This was a big one, so anytime I created a deal it would allow me to add a specific contact to that deal record. From that deal record I can see all of the contacts record fields... Some other CRM's on AppSumo that I tried would just show the name of that linked contact record but not show all their record fields. I am glad this one is different!
2. Allows for in app automation... Creating tasks, workflows, etc can be done only for in app. They provide decent if-then sequence for when "Deal Record" moves to "Sold" stage, then create task to "Call x person"... (only things done in app aka no integration to Active pieces, Zapier, etc- is a con below)
3. The major tabs are editable and allow you to customize for almost any type of business... This is HUGGEEE! The ones ive tried on AppSumo have a preconfigured top tabs setup so there was little customization with those. It was a "well I hope your business uses this section" otherwise it just a clutter UI. This is not the case with Amwork. I can customize all of the major tabs such as pipeline, contacts, contractors etc...

Downfalls or Room for Improvement
1. Import CSV/Excel.... They say it allows for bulk imports but I have not gotten it to work... I copy the template for all the correct mapping fields, tried uploading 20 contacts with correct headers. It then says it will upload those contacts in the background as I am working... Great! But then I come back to check hours later.... nothing :( Its either a bug or user error, either way no notification if I am doing it wrong

2. INTEGRATIONS- Currently no Zapier or ActivePieces Integration which is a major letdown. In todays world of CRM's being about to move a task from "X stage" to "Y stage" and trigger an automation to slack message a team member to "Call Z customer to go over estimate".... For me this was almost a deal killer... I have seen a number of questions asking/requesting these things.... At very minimum add outgoing webhooks to push out any custom field, this would be sufficient since most automation platforms can catch webhooks and complete their flow....

3. Storage - Even at 5gb per team member, I believe most e-sign, picture saving, excel running businesses are going to have a hard time staying within those parameters. I am thankful they increased it from 250mg because if they didnt, it would have been a no for me dawg.... Most project managment or CRM's that have come on Appsumo have provided a much greater offering for storage... I will have to use google drive to save docs which is a pain going cross platforms :(

4. Sumo-lings be advised- I have read the Company FAQ's and see that they have new features coming out to this platform for an additional charge... "In 1-2 months, we will have additional functionality that is not included in any plans. It will be sold separately from any plans (both AppSumo and our internal plans). This functionality is BPMN automation"... As a Sumo-ling, I enjoy the pay for it once and enjoy the features of the software for life. Reading this was a little bit of a letdown. I understand the company has to make money on the MRR model but AppSumo is typically not the place. Additionally if you want more storage and want to hold everything in house on Amwork, most likely an additional charge as well.

Overall this is still a solid CRM platform even after my hard critique. You may be wondering why I gave it 5 tacos. The answer is I really want this company to do well. I think if they continue to improve and put the customer first, they will have endless referrals and word of mouth for this thing to explode. For 90% of businesses, this CRM will work once they implement Zapier or Active Pieces... For my business we will slowly adopt this platform as they make the necessary improvements. If I was you, I'd test it out for 60 days and see if its a fit for the business.

Hi Jimmy,

Thank you for the review! It's so uplifting to read reviews like yours—they really inspire us! Tomorrow, we’re releasing new automation in the pipeline, where you’ll be able to set conditions based on all fields in the card. We've also decided to start working on an integration with Zapier, and it should be released in a couple of months. We would greatly appreciate it if you and anyone else interested could email us at support@amwork.com with your integration requests for Zapier. Let us know what you'd like to see from the integration.

Regarding contact imports, it's easy to make a mistake when preparing the import file, which can prevent the import from working. If you have any issues with imports or anything else, please reach out to our support team, and we'll assist you.

Thanks again for your feedback—we're committed to continuing our work to build the best system for managing company processes!
