Awesome tool for agencies to keep clients on-brand
I originally purchased Baseline in 2022 for 5 brands max, and after using it for a while it became clear I should've maxed out. Now it's back in stock so I went straight to Tier 3.
We use this mainly for 3 use cases:
- For any new project we upload all brand assets of our client to Baseline, so all fonts, colors, logos and more are centralized in one place for all of our company (so we went with unlimited brands). This alone has proven valuable enough to justify the price we paid for this LTD.
- We upload all assets of our clients to Baseline and then give clients on recurring plans access to this, so they also have a centralized platform for their brand. This includes their nice looking and always updated brand guides.
- For some clients, we provide direct access to their brands on Baseline so they can create images for social networks, blogs or anything they need, keeping all of that on brand. In many cases this can replace Canva for many SMEs, so adding this as something we can provide is incredibly cool.
The team isn't the best at communicating but the tool has seen a steady deployment of upgrades and new functionalities for over 2 years now. And the UX is great, brands look awesome, and the new Organizations feature works wonders for us to manage multiple brands and give access to clients and their team.
This is a very focused and easy to use tool. We always send a PDF with brand guidelines when doing branding work, and although the Baseline guides are simpler in structure and colors than what we can achieve when working on our own PDF, the convenience of having an embeddable online brand guide with shortcuts to download all assets in different formats is just too much to be passed on.
Some things I'd love to see improved:
- Add localization for brand guides and the UI. Or at least, allow us to change the text and headers of the brand guide (this seems to be on the roadmap though)
- Allow designing multi-page designs and graphics (this also is on the roadmap AFAIK)
- Add optional snapping to the graphic editor.
- Add a section for taglines or text snippets in the brand guide.
And please, please, keep the tool development as focused on branding as it's been đź’ś
