Q: Seats and docs

Hello, I hope you are all well. I have seen your product and I find it interesting, but I have a few points that make me hesitate to buy the license.
1. If I upload docx files, i.e. Word files, can I edit them live like Google Drive allows me to?
2. Usually when I create a client folder in Google Drive the client wants access to see their new designs that we created for them etc. What I don't understand is why, for example, if a plan includes 100 brands, I only have 50 users available? This means that if my 100 clients want access to their brand, I run out of seats for my team. In Google Drive I can invite as many people as I want to the folders, this really shouldn't be limited, maybe you could limit the team members, but not the clients who are actually like "guests".

A: Hello @seox! We are here to answer questions and dissolve any doubts. :)

1) Currently BrandBay does not support file "editing", but we do have a document viewer. The way we handle this in the workflow is that we have a full rich text editor inside of each "asset" that could can put rich content into (images, etc.) so that your team can collaborate around an asset https://help.brandbay.io/article/MAxdNYCrJpb-Notes-and-Commenting , but we also have that as a standalone asset too called the "notes" asset which is like a full page version of that where you can have a collaborative document like flow with your team. If you have a Google Document or Sheet that you specifically needed to collaborate on, you can actually put that link into BrandBay so that it can be organized in the structure of your brand library https://d.pr/i/f8oa9Q which can be a useful way of getting the benefits of both use-cases.

2) Part of the understanding with the brands and user count is how BrandBay is not only for agencies but marketing teams as well who manage many brands, so when we sat down to discuss the limits with AppSumo this is what came forward of what is available with each tier. Also what is good to understand about client workflows in the platform is not necessarily every client needs to become a user. In many cases, an agency can share the public brand share link as a deliverable to their client. These can be password protected and you can even enable uploading from the brand share page, so that a client can have full access to their assets without needing to take up a user seat in your account. All of these can be managed by BrandBay's powerful custom permissions that you can set per brand. :)

We have really focused on the workflow for digital agencies to provide an excellent and scalable client experience with branding deliverables.

Please let us know if that makes sense! If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly at support@brandbay.io!
