So far so good!

I've been looking for/wanting a similar support app to HelpScout for years now and this looks like it could be it! Really liking everything so far and functionality wise no issues yet. It's smooth, fast and looks good too. I've got the widget installed on our site and tested a few conversations and everything is working nicely. I love the ticket feature, especially since you can port in external requests just by sending to the @inbox.getcharla.com email uniquely created for you. Would be nice to have the ability to create tickets from chat, and would love to see the ability for more advanced chatflows, for example conditional flows would be sweet where based off a choice selection I can then present new options. It sounds like an AI approach to this is on it's way so we'll see, maybe that will take care of chatflows. I do think it would still be nice to be able to build more advanced custom flows though... Overall though, really happy so far. Will update if anything changes.

The best non-AI chat tool and truly a hidden GEM!

Charla is an excellent live chat product that I’ve loved from the very start. Given that most options on the market are AI chat tools, its presence is truly rare. The UI design and mobile performance are outstanding, making it a top-notch alternative to Tidio and Jivochat. The customer service response time is impressively quick as well. Overall, this is a highly recommended product, so be sure to grab it while it’s still available on Appsumo!

Great chat!

I've tried several chat bots before and they were too complicated. Charla is great, simple but robust enough and does what I need it to do. I have it on both my client portal to chat with clients and another on my website for visitors. Great customer service too!

A powerful platform and quite the hidden gem!

I was looking for a live chat/ticket platform for my own website when I stumbled upon Charla. At first I was a little sceptical given the low cost with Tier 1 being just $39 which also included up to 5 seats but I bought it anyway.

It was simple to redeem and get my account set up and just as easy to set up my live chat widget. You can customise it to your brand colours etc and I had it installed on my Wordpress site in no times. The iOS app is a massive bonus and although it only works for the live chat at the moment, the team have said tickets is coming to which will be amazing!

The only issue I have experienced was in relation to setting up an email forward from my support email hosted by Google Workspace. This is based around the fact that Google insist on verifying ever email address you add as a potential forwarding email - which is great for security but for some reason wouldn't be delivered to Charla. This meant I couldn't forward support requests from my own email to their ticket platform.

However, the support I have received from Yehia has been nothing short of amazing with frequent and useful responses and very quick fixes. They were able to rectify whatever the conflict was and I have now verified my Charla email which means that my clients can email my support address and they get routed to Charla for me to deal with.

A surprisingly great find. A true hidden gem and one which I hope others find soon and find just as useful. I can't wait to see where Charla goes next but I hope they don't forget their main focus and dive into AI'ing everything. There are many tools for this, even on Appsumo right now. Stick with what you know and what you are good at. Some AI capabilities are great but don't get sucked into becoming a fully fledged AI chatbot and its often overlooked and huge ongoing costs for using the LLM's.
