This Software Didn’t Protect Us—It Cost Us Thousands
Unfortunately, this software ended up costing us significantly.
While the customer service was good, the product itself caused major issues.
We followed the instructions to install the tracking code on our landing pages, but it caused the pages to stop loading for new visitors.
We didn’t realise this at first because the pages worked for us due to caching. However, for new visitors, the landing pages displayed a blank white screen. This went unnoticed for 10 days, resulting in a complete loss of leads across five campaigns, costing us thousands in wasted ad spend and lost sales opportunities.
Additionally, I suspect that some of the “blocked” clicks might have been legitimate visitors attempting to reload the page when it didn’t load properly, although I can’t confirm this.
We manually removed the IPs it flagged, but I’m concerned about the potential long-term impact on our Google Ads campaign, especially given the high bounce rate this issue caused.
I’m deeply disappointed. We’ve used many AppSumo deals, and this is the first time one has cost us money rather than saving it.
Sadly, this experience has set us back and left us out of pocket. I feel like I've been robbed of my money.
