Not Worth the Risk to Your LinkedIn Account
I had high hopes for Closely, especially with their attractive initial deal. However, my experience quickly turned frustrating. Within weeks of signing up and going through their warm-up campaign stage, I received notifications from LinkedIn that my account was flagged for automation, resulting in restrictions.
When I contacted Closely about this issue, they simply sent standard instructions: turn off campaigns, don't use new accounts, etc. I followed their advice - disconnected Closely and waited several weeks to let things cool down. When I tried again, I set everything to manual mode with extremely conservative settings (just 2 connections per day). Despite these precautions, within 24 hours, LinkedIn restricted my account again.
Throughout this ordeal, Closely's response remained the same - just generic messages with no real solutions. There was no sense of urgency or genuine attempt to help resolve the situation. I couldn't risk having my LinkedIn account permanently suspended, so I had to stop using their service entirely.
Key Takeaways:
* Account gets flagged by LinkedIn even with minimal automation settings
* Customer service only provides generic, unhelpful responses
* Risk of permanent LinkedIn account suspension is not worth it
* Even after following all their recommended precautions, issues persist
* No proper support or solutions when problems occur

Apr 7, 2025Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience - I’m really sorry to hear about the challenges you faced.
In December, LinkedIn rolled out a series of updates that unexpectedly affected all automation platforms, not just Closely. Unfortunately, this led to a temporary spike in account restrictions across the industry.
Since then, our team has worked hard to adapt to these changes. We’ve released a series of updates to align with LinkedIn's new requirements, and I’m happy to share that the situation is now stable — our users are no longer facing these issues when operating within safe limits.
Additionally, we’ve prepared an updated LinkedIn Safety Guide for 2025, which outlines best practices for keeping your account in good standing. Our support team actively shares this guide and is always here to help users set up campaigns safely and effectively.
We’ve done everything possible to keep our users’ LinkedIn accounts safe so they can confidently use Closely without worrying about restrictions.
