Learning Curve but Huge Potential
At first when I went into the tool I thought is that it. However, I got on a call with them and went through the tool. To take in large datasets at one go turn it around and summarise is pretty good.
What needs improvement:
- It does not automatically tell the story colour wise this could be improved I had to change colours to make real distinctions to the viewers e.g. gender. Whilst the palette chosen by the AI was aesthetic it did not contrast to tell the story it should not need this level of intervention.
- It's not retaining my data I need to upload each time, they are trying to resolve
- Once you learn the customisation there is a lot you can do
- The summary could be even more insightful but I think the AI language needs to be trained

Great support but not enough mapping functionality
Maps are not able to be more granular than county level - no cities or lat/long geocoordinates. If you input "City" and "State" (2 separate data fields), it'll map it to the County - so it's kinda smart but without letting you know it does that. But you cannot pass lat/long and you cannot pass a single "City, State" field.
Once your map is published, the map is not zoomable to drill down and view more closely.
I chatted with support multiple times. They were excellent - eager to help and understanding of my challenges getting started.
However, as a mapping tool, it's not recommended at this time.
Positive was that the UI is responsive, the maximum rows of data allowed is huge, and support is detailed.

As you discovered, Columns is not designed for a map focus tool, it’s a lightweight BI for simple data analytics and visualization, and map is one of its visual type. Except the professional mapping functions like zooming, I believe Columns map for both US and World are working well for bunch of simple scenarios, thanks again!

The absolutetly besr BI data visualization tool on appsumo by far. i personally was looking for a tool that can visualize and analyze and understand the data i was exporting out from a csv file inorder to make sense and make important business decisions. This program has allowed me to be able to analyze,storeytell and visualize a bunch of raw data from a simple csv file intoa live like Sophisticated visualized and statiscally accurate data storytelling presentation.
This is a must have if you looking to understand,visualize,forecast and di-sect data or databases to make more sense to the average non technical experts who want to understand what the data is telling the end user.

You talk about analysis, I’m excited to tell you, in the very next release soon, we will allow you easily add formula to keys, so you can use one-click to have common transformations enabled like getting url domain, path, segments, reverse strings, substrings, etc. and many more possible things. You don’t need to clean up your data that much...
