Q: PDF export with images does not work at all...
Unfortunately, the PDF export for documents that contain images does not work at all. They are either not exported at all or only in black. This issue can even be reproduced with the sample document that is provided by Documentero containing the Documentero Logo. I really wonder how such a function could be released. This is a major disappointment for me. I can only get a refund because I can't work with Word documents that require difficult and costly conversions in another workflow. Really unfortunate.

Dec 16, 2024A: PDF export is commonly used by our clients for documents with images (staticly defined in template or dynamically injected), and after double-checking I can confirm that it is working as expected. It seems that the issue you’re encountering is most likely related to the PDF viewer or the specific settings/configuration of the viewer you are using, which might not be rendering the images correctly.
I recommend trying a different PDF viewer, such as Adobe Acrobat or the latest version of a popular browser, as some viewers may not support certain image formats/color profiles properly or display them incorrectly.
If the issue persists, please let us know, send us output document that you feel is not up to the standards, and we will assist you further in troubleshooting.
Please also keep in mind that some tools or services (such as mail clients) generate PDF previews (when a PDF attachment is detected), which may display an inaccurate or distorted view of the PDF content until you open it with proper PDF Viewer

I tested three Macs, the only way to view the exports correctly is to use the original Adobe Acrobat Reader; other PDF readers like Apple Preview, PDF Expert, PDF Gear, and Nitro PDF do not work. No issues on both my iPhone and Windows; it opens just fine. How will I know what my client will see? No way that I will tell him to use 'Adobe Acrobat or the latest version of a popular browser'!

It appears that the issues we're experiencing are linked to the recent MacOS Sequoia 15.2 update. I tested it on one of my machines, and everything seemed fine initially; however, after the update, I encountered problems with black images appearing in my documents. THIS DOES NOT SEEM TO BE RELATED TO DOCUMENTERO
