Q: Can I update email preferences for existing clients in the App.

Eg: I have 10 contacts in emailpref in a list A, I create a new email preference say " monthly newsletter" can I add say 5 of those existing contacts to the new preference through the app itself.

A: Since our tool integrates directly with the ESP, you'll need to manage contacts through the ESP itself.

For example, if you have 3 lists on the preferences page and a user is subscribed to one, only the user can subscribe or unsubscribe from the other lists. You won't be able to manually add them to other lists within Emailpref.

For the example you gave, if you have a list called "Product Updates" where everyone is subscribed and a new list "Monthly Newsletter" that no one is subscribed to, you can add both lists to the preference page. When a user clicks on the preference page link, they’ll see that they are subscribed to "Product Updates" and can choose whether to subscribe to "Monthly Newsletter" and Emailpref will update it in the ESP instantly. By default, "Monthly Newsletter" will be marked as unsubscribed if they weren't subscribed before.
