Q: No event-based, no API , no transactional email?

I’ll be using tier 5-6 until I’ve read all the questions here.

1. Not everyone uses WooCommerce, so it’s not relevant to me and many others.
2. No Event-based segmentation makes this deal a joke. It makes Encharge different from the alternative products.
3. Limiting contacts with unlimited emails seems unreasonable. Who would send 1,000,000 emails to 25,000 or 50,000 subscribers?

Limiting email sending would make much more sense and consume less infrastructure costs. This limitation alone makes people look for other options.

4. There’s no transactional email, which makes Encharge different. It’s just a fancy drag-and-drop email tool.

The 2025 deal is not attractive to new customers at all. It lost a huge opportunity to gain new traction and customers to spread the word about Encharge.

A: Hey Dorapanda! 👋

First off, really appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed thoughts — even the tough ones. Totally fair to raise these concerns, especially if you’ve been following along closely. Let me walk through each point transparently and from the lens of someone who also bought a Tier 5 license back in 2021 before becoming an owner of Encharge.

1. WooCommerce
You’re right — WooCommerce isn’t relevant for everyone. That’s why it’s only included on Tier 6 in the 2025 campaign. It's a big integration (especially given how messy Woo can get 😅), so it’s intentionally limited to power users who actually need it. If you don’t — that’s one less thing to worry about.

2. Event-based segmentation
Just to clarify — event-based segmentation is not available on the 2025 lifetime deal (unlike 2021 Tier 5, which had it). It’s now part of the Premium plan only. We know this makes Encharge feel different from some competitors, but we also know that including advanced features like this in an LTD makes it impossible for us to maintain and grow the product sustainably long-term.

The good news? Even without events, you can still segment based on actions like:
• Opened a specific email
• Clicked a specific link
• Submitted a form
• Visited a page (with the tracking script)

So you're not stuck with static lists — but we get it, it's a different style of automation.

3. Contact limits vs. email sending
Ah yes, the “why limit contacts instead of email volume?” debate. We’ve been on both sides of this one.

We chose to limit by subscribers because:
• It's the most predictable cost driver on our end (emails are actually cheaper than storing and processing millions of contacts over time)
• It aligns with how most serious ESPs and MA platforms price
• It helps us offer unlimited sending (within reason) — which is a pretty massive LTD perk

That said, if you only want to keep 50,000 contacts and email them once in a blue moon, it does feel like overkill. For those people, we offer 50% off monthly plans if they want to go beyond the contact limit — while keeping everything else they bought for life.

4. Transactional email
You’re spot on — transactional email (via API) is part of the Premium plan only. It’s a fundamentally different infrastructure from bulk campaigns, and offering it inside an LTD (especially with unlimited sending) just isn’t feasible. We might consider a per-email pricing add-on someday, but no commitments yet.

Final thoughts
This deal is definitely not designed to be the everything-included buffet it was in 2021 — and we’re not pretending it is. The 2025 relaunch is about offering the core of a true marketing automation platform — not just a fancy drag-and-drop tool — at a one-time price, for people who value powerful email flows, visual automation, and seamless integrations without having to pay monthly.

Could it be better? Always. And we’re working on it. But it’s not a joke — it’s a carefully scoped LTD that keeps the business sustainable while giving people real value for life. 🙌

If you’re still undecided, happy to help unpack any of this further.

Thanks again for your honesty — it helps us keep improving.

Thanks. Brevo offers 100,000 contacts with full-blown automation and SMTP for free. However, without event-based segmentation and with a poor limitation, it’s hard to justify investment.

Totally fair points 🙏 This 2025 deal isn’t trying to be a “2021 repeat” — it’s a more sustainable version with core automation features, unlimited sending (w/ contact caps), and clean workflows. Event-based stuff + transactional email are Premium-only now, but what you do get at a one-time price is still powerful for serious use cases. Appreciate you keeping it honest! 🙌
