Q: API seems GPT specfic

I wonder what your reason is to make the API AI specific? ie you have GPT(), Gemini() functions and then you have many function for GPT that don't exist for Gemini.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have AI(prompt, model) etc.?
Then you would have
AI()
AI_EXTRACT()

Rather then having GPT_EXTRACT but no Gemini_Extract() etc.

Q: How does the perplexity work?

I have to get my own api right? And then I choose the models right?

I want to get the exact output as I do when i use perplexity.ai free model. So I'm wondering which model that would be and if I'd get the exact same output?

I asked perplexity.ai this exact question (as in the perplexity chat) and it said:

"If you want to get the same results as when using the free version of Perplexity.ai, you should use the pplx-api with the pplx-default model. This will give you access to the same model that powers the free Perplexity.ai experience."

However, I couldn't find much info about the pplx-deffault model so I"m not sure if that answer is true. Thanks

A: Hey, i have checked google. and also did not find anything about mentioned models.

But you can select what model do you want to use or even connect your own some open source LLM that are free (if you deploye it somewhere) and connect via API() function or OpenRoute() - allows you to deploy custom models fro github

Q: Hi Yaro, great tool!

I will explain my use case and have a few questions on which I need your input please, to say if this is possible with GPTforSheets.
1) Will this tool help me organize the data? For example, if I ask AI to reorder rows and/or columns to present the data differently, will it work?
2) I want to create shareable workbooks that will have either templates or calculators with protected fields and editable fields to input the data. These shareable sheets will be within my single Google workspace but I intend to share with my prospects as lead magnets. Will your product allow unlimited sharing as long as the sheet is in a single Google Workspace? Which Tier will be suitable for this use case?
3) I want to obviously integrate my own API key, however, I do not want my users to be able to use this for image generation. What's the best way to limit the use of API key. I assume it will be through my account with the API provider? or are there settings within your tool where I can limit this?
Thanks for your input
Jay

A: Hey Jay!

Yes, you can create your templates. And just use "Replace GPTs with text results" and it will be as usual sheet document, that you can share. People will not see the plugin/your account/you api keys.
