Q: Turning off real-time speech
Hi,
Is it possible to turn off real-time speech on the higher tier plans as otherwise the character limits could be used up very quickly if many people use the audio and no edits have been made. Playing a stored/cached version of the audio will be much more efficient.
For most efficient use of the credits and saving you money as well, it would be best if the very first audo version of a WP post/page was done in real-time but then the audio file was saved and stored for future audio listens. Then only site content that is desired is converted to audio and saved for future.
Thanks,
Dale.

Edited Mar 12, 2025A: Hello,
GSpeech generates the audio file when the user clicks the play button for the first time. Once the file has been generated, it is stored securely on the cloud. On subsequent visits, the audio can be played unlimited times without counting towards character usage.
If you need to hide the player on specific pages, this can be achieved by adding the URL of the page under GSpeech → Cloud Console → Settings → Blocked URLs.
I hope this clarifies your question. Please let me know if you need any further details.
Thanks! :)
