Good. But needs improvements.

I'm sure IKI will become a great tool one day, but it needs improvements right now. It excels and performs really well if you want to talk to a collection using A.I. and get relevant information. This is where it truly shines right now.

But it falls short when it comes to the consistency and ability to save items. I spent the afternoon creating some collections. I have a list of my favorite YouTube videos that I attempted to save into a collection but I was faced with inconsistency such as some videos didn't save or bookmark to my collection. I then went to the library to click on those videos and try to "send" them to the collection, but they never showed up. I tried to upload 10 videos into a collection, and only 6 of them showed up. I still can't get all the videos into the collection by clicking on them manually.

The first time I created a collection for my pdfs and went to bulk upload them only half the pdfs showed up in the collection. I would now have to look at my collection and spend time figuring out which pdfs didn't upload and then go and try to upload them one by one because I don't trust the bulk uploading, and I'm 100% positive if I tried again, then half the stuff wouldn't save to the collection because of its inconsistency.

If you buy a tool like this, then I'm sure you will want to highlight text across the internet and save them as notes to a collection. Well this isn't working properly either. If you highlight anything from a site with a login, then it doesn't save the note and instead creates a "You need to log in" page in your collection. Also, if you manually create a note on IKI, then it has no header or details on the card in your collection; it is just an untitled and unorganized blank card. So if you save 5 notes, then you will have to click on each one individually and open them to find out which note it is.

I tried to upload .csv and they don't upload... Instead, it says, "We've successfully uploaded 0 files. Would you like to add them to the collection?" I have no idea if it can read .csv sheets for online viewing because I can't get a single one to upload.

It is nice you can upload PDFs and view some of its content but I think it needs to have a pdf reader application built into it where you can view the whole pdf and even have it save the page you left off on so that we can upload books and be able to read them daily and come back the next day and begin where we left off.

Also, if this is a digital library, then Images are a must-have feature to upload infographics, etc.

Frankly, at this point in my review, I've lost interest in testing anything further with this application until the basics are sorted out and the simple consistency of saving bookmarks and notes is fixed. I would love to know if you can upload fonts or PSD projects? It would make sense if this is a digital library that all file types be supported and a font reader/viewer be implemented to view our fonts in the library like with the tool Mediaplace. Also, PSDs so that we can view Adobe project design files.

Should you skip this deal? I think if you have extra money and the time and patience for things to get sorted out then I think this is something good to invest in. Because as I said, right now, it excels at being able to chat with your specific documents and files. This feature alone proves to me that they have the capability to create a great tool, they just need some time to figure out the rest and iron out the kinks. I have extra money so I plan to buy and hold this product and wait 59 days to see if things get ironed out. The developers do care about the product, and you can tell they have passion for this, so I do believe this will turn into an amazing tool as time follows. The developers have a good vision for the product, and I'm sure the final product will be amazing.

Transform Your Workflow - How IKI.ai Redefines Document Interaction and Integration

I recently had the opportunity to explore IKI.ai, a product that truly stands out in its ability to allow users to interact with their own documents and even engage with information from YouTube videos. The integration with platforms like Notion, Figma, GitHub, and Dropbox adds incredible versatility, making it easier to access and utilize information across different mediums.

One of the features I appreciate the most is the conversational aspect. Being able to ask questions and receive responses based on my own documents feels like having a personal assistant that understands my work style and needs. This interactive approach makes information retrieval not only efficient but also enjoyable.

The upcoming integration with Obsidian is particularly exciting. It shows the developers’ commitment to enhancing user experience by connecting more tools that professionals use daily. It's clear that they are focused on creating a seamless workflow for users.

While IKI.ai is already an excellent product, I do see areas for improvement in future updates. However, what really impresses me is the developer's openness to suggestions. They actively encourage user feedback, which is essential for growth and improvement.

I find it puzzling that there are negative reviews about IKI.ai. From my experience, it offers remarkable functionality and potential. Sure, there's room for enhancement, but the foundation is solid, and the responsiveness of the team gives me confidence that they will continue to evolve this product.

If you're looking for a tool that allows you to converse with your documents and integrates seamlessly with other platforms, I highly recommend giving IKI.ai a try. It’s a product designed with user needs in mind, and I believe it has a bright future ahead.

Smooth, helpful, with some room for improvement in detail

I just bought Tier 2, as video transcripts aren't too important for me. I mainly want to interact with large PDFs, so I just tested with a book I know very well. That prooved to be very useful, indeed, the quality of the AI answers ist fairly good.

They are, however, not excellent: Some answers were mistaken in details. E.g., I asked about a concept with five components that is described in the book, and IKI.AI got four of those five components correctly. When I asked to correct and even gave the correct answer, I got a text output with the correct answer, but the provided list still contained the wrong answer. When I corrected again, I got the list with the right items but in the wrong order.

I also asked to provide page numbers to undermine the selection of key facts, but the page numbers I got were just that - some random page numbers without any connection to the text, which the IKI.AI Copilot voluntarily "admitted" when I asked about it. When I asked for direct quotations, I got some that were both fitting to my request and accurately cited, but the provided page numbers were still wrong (a quote that was said to appear on page 16 is actually on page 28 ). It took a couple more requests to actually receive quotes and references with correct page numbers.

Summing up, I'm really thankful for a great new tool in my box. It shouldn't be trusted blindly, and I would really appreciate if the IKI.AI team invested in providing quotations, page numbers etc. so accurate that I could use it for scientific work without having to double check every single quotation. Hence the missing fifth taco. Still, it's way better than everything else I've tried, including AppSumo deal Afforai, which lacked even more in the mentioned respect. I really like IKI.AI's slick, intuitive interface and look forward to use it for gaining new quick insight from a bunch of books on my "should read" list I never get around to actually reading.

I also look forward to Obsidian integration and would suggest looking into Zotero, too - a software used by many academics to organize their documents. It would be a dream come true to be able to link the two ("Upload this document to IKI.AI", then "Chat with this document" directly in Zotero). Thanks to the team for considering these suggestions and for bringing an already very usable product to AppSumo - greatly appreciated!

Really shines with documents. Love Cloud integrations

I purchased the Tier 3 because:
This app really shines with PDF documents. I have some PDF docs with at least 300 pages; Not very easy to find the information we need with the basic search function on PDF pages.AI has the ability to find the information much more quickly accross all documents and pages.
Another feature to be implemented makes me decide also to buy the Tier 3.
I can't wait to see many cloud storage provider's support! Specially i hope PCLOUD will be on their roadmap if possible.
Our files are also stored in multiple cloud storages, multiples folders, also in social media......
It really makes sense to have an intelligent AI search to find the old specific file we search.
Cloud storages combined with documents i can't wait to see what features we will have in the future. This app really could be useful for many use cases.

The actual tool I've been waiting for.

I previously tried mem and capacities for the chatting with your own documents feature, but didn't really work for me. I'm really liking Iki for allowing me to have a conversation with an expert on my own information.

Still I have a couple of requests for improvement:

1. To be able to save the chats we're working on for future work. You could maybe create a reset button to start from scratch when necessary.
2. Please make all the docs private by default and make the sharing optional (which I would never use it)

Ok, one more:
3. Capability to organize with folders inside folders ("collections").

I'm really starting to like this app. The concept of selecting the specific knowledge you want to interact with, is just better than dealing with the entire internet.

Thank you and good luck!

Thank you for your positive feedback!

1. We've got a reset button called New Chat now to reset a chat, because every chat has memory of its context. Good idea on chats saving, right now we solve it by having the ability to save co-pilot answers.
2. We do have the private switcher turned on by default, don't worry, unless you have toggled it on, then there is red warning text appearing.
3. We'll...
