Q: Love / Hate Relationships With Zoom
The cost of Zoom and annoyance of the cloud recording space has me ready to jump but we have automations around that use Zoom files. I'm hoping this can be a replacement, so have a few questions:
1a. Are the recordings stored in the cloud or on the device of the host?
1b. If on the cloud, is that in your own platform or can we integrate it into Google Drive to store the video file there?
2a. Does your platform provide separate files of the chat and transcript?
2b. If it does provide a file for the transcript, what is the time intervals of the timestamps?
2c. If you do provide those two files per recording, are they stored locally or in the cloud?
2d. If they are stored in the cloud, is it on your own platform or can we integrate it into Google Drive to store?
3. Do you have a public api or can we access any data via a webhook?

Edited Mar 9, 2025A: Hey Jordache,
Great question. Let me clarify how our recordings work, what we don't have and what we're planning at the moment.
1a. When you record any KYZON Space meeting, the meeting is recorded on our servers and automatically saved to our cloud drive (KYZON Flow).
1b. At the moment, all recordings are automatically saved to our drive (KYZON Flow), but due to high user requests, we will be implementing the ability for users to choose their Google Drive as the place where the recordings will be automatically saved to.
2. At this stage, our recordings do not provide the chat log nor the meeting transcript. We could however provide the chat logs with timestamps of each space as a separate file that automatically saves to either KYZON Flow or Google Drive based on the user's preference as a future feature.
Post meeting transcriptions has been a heavily requested feature and for good reason. We've been exploring ways of including post-meeting transcriptions for some time now, but the costs to natively provide transcriptions while we use a third-party service just wouldn't be sustainable on a LTD at the moment. While we are making progress, we wouldn't want to overpromise anything at this stage.
In the meantime, we are exploring ways of allowing users to connect their own AI recording/transcriptions like Fireflies.ai or Otter.ai into KYZON Space meetings.
3. We don't currently have a public API nor webhook integration but we are open to exploring support for both depending on the use case. What data were you looking to access or for what use cases in general?
Let me know if there's anything else I can help clarify and appreciate the interest :)
