Q: Silo question
Hi there,
With Silos, can you only have one level? E.g., main pillar topic, then sub-topics?
Or can you set multiple levels? E.g.,
PILLAR TOPIC
-Sub-topic
---Nested sub-topic
---Nested sub-topic
---Nested sub-topic
-Sub-Topic
---Nested sub-topic
-Subtopic
---Nested sub-topic
---Nested sub-topic
This helps to build full authority on a topic, rather than just one leve.

Nov 3, 2024A: Assuming the posts are structured through categories and tags where every sub-topic and nested sub-topic are filed under same category or tag, and the Pillar topic is the main parent.
You're able to create Silos for each sub-topic and then another that links the sub-topic to the Pillar topic.
We're always available via support for further help.
The New Silo system we are releasing this week makes it easier to create Silos, better than ever.
With the upgrade, you're able map support to support and/or Support to Pillar at the click of a button.
You're also able to automatically link the network by generating snippets for all the pairs at a go.
To add, I would like to then say the Pillar should link out to the Sub-topics only, and the sub-topics should link to the Pillar and nested, and the nested should link to sub-topic and main pillar topic.
You only need to have this structure in place through tags and categories and you will be able to create such. In later updates, you'll be able to create a single Silo that can do this in one go.
Once you run into a problem, we will be available via support.
Thanks for this. Would it be possible to have a way to do this without tags or categories?
I am assuming you need categories and sub-categories, which is not ideal.
It would be great to have a drag-and-drop system to choose the silos, without relying on tags and categories.
The system we have now can do that, but it's not drag and drop.
I can help you around if you ever need help. I'll add the drag and drop Silo to the roadmap!
