TextSniper - OCR Simplified Reviews

I bought this because it was five dollars, and with my plus discount it was basically free. I had no idea that I would end up using it every single day. Weirdly enough, this little tool is one of my most used LTD’s.

This product does what it says. It's simple and easy to use. As a busy student, I use it everyday to help me copy text from images and videos when taking notes. Thank you for delivering exactly what you promise!!!

I was making thousands of screen shots and had no way to search through them because the text wasn't OCR-ed. When I saw the offer on AppSumo I was really happy and got the app immediately. This is a very fair deal and you just get a dmg software and no need to connect to the internet. Got one more copy for my friend and now we both can install it on 3 machines. A real bargain and an amazing productivity tool. Highly recommended! Thank you guys!

I just purchased TextSniper and so far am pretty impressed with 2 things.

1. Super fast customer support email. (Thank you!)
2. The OCR was pretty accurate when copying a sloppy handwritten note. (And it was written with a thicker white board marker.)

I've been using this tool for a very long time, and what it absolutely cannot do...

After text is marked from an image with the tool and inserted into a document, for example, and another text needs to be extracted from the image, the tool goes haywire.

It suddenly inserts things that are in a line below into another text part, just as if at the end of a sentence, for example, only one word is there.

Absolutely pointless because it means more effort to check the texts.

There is an urgent need for improvement here.

When text is recognized and copied from images, it should be EXACTLY 1-to-1, and not like a drunk person mixing words and texts that aren't even in that order.

No one needs a tool that can only mark and output one line!

No purchase recommendation, not even for the price!
