I really, really, wanted to love it...but I can't even like it
I purchased Olly on the 23rd September 2024 and now 60 days later it still doesn't work. All I have managed to achieve, after spending hours of time trying, is nothing.
The issue is the chrome extension doesn't sync ro the PC dashboard. However to use the premium features and access all the functionality you have to enter information into the PC dashboard and then sync it
Ultimately every time I try to use Olly as soon as i try to sync, i5 just redirects me to the page telling me to buy a license.
I have a license, and it is saved and working in the chrome extension. But to use brand voice you have to add your brnad information to the PC dashboard then sync it to the extension.
Guess what....it just redirects me and tells me if I want the good stuff i have to buy a license. Round and round we go.
I have sent emails, screenshot, and Yash is super helpful but either hr doesn't get what I am saying or the product is just a buggy waste of time.
First response from support informed me that it must be my fault and I must have created 2 accounts using different email addresses. Ummmm...no.
Then i was told it was because my email address starts with a capital letter and shouldn't. Ummmm ok ..but no.
I tried explaining again that the issue is with my activation code not syncing. I gave the example of brand voice. The response from support told me I needed 5 credits for brand voice.
Now thay was the last straw. Because i actually have 8 credits (you get given 10 when you join) BUT more importantly I also bought the pro plan and am using my own Open AI API key .... so ummm, no. I dont need your 5 credits.
Now support tells me the issue is that the brand voice feature doesn't come with my license. Ummm, no, actually Omg yes it does .... it comes with all 3 tiers as stated.
60 days later and noone seems able to figure out how to sync my activation code. And i have no confidence they ever will.
Hey buy on the bright side, as an apology for the hassle they gave me 50 free credits. That's 50 credits that i don't need and, even worse can't use. It still doesn't sync. Sigh
And how much time has olly saved me. None. In fact it owes me about 2 days. If anyone wants 50 credits let me know. However i may need to post or pigeon them to you.

Just read the review, we fully deserve it. Thank you for sharing feedback. The issue is that there's so much going on with so many users that it's sometimes hard to figure out what to prioritise, since we're bootstrapped we're always short of people. BUT that should never be the reason for your bad experience.
Please accept my sincere apologies no 50 credits will never compensate for your time or efforts.
If you are still our customer, I'd love to still help you get this working, we can go on a call infact to ensure you're on-boarded correctly.
And no, I'm not going to beg or ask you to change the review, we deserved it. Let me know if you'd have some time.
For the brand voice bit we just fixed it, the issue was that when you created the account the whole sign-up process was very new. Which is why you ended up having two accounts and the model wasn't sure where to deduct the credits from. Just fixed it some time back, and it should work as expected now.
Again, thank you so much for your patience man. I'm really sorry for having caused so many issues. At some point I'll need to stop adding more features and rather work on improving experience for my users.
