Q: Can I add subscribers manually without double opt-in?
The Tier 1 deal looks attractive, but is less so if I have to pay for the Empire add-on too. I have an existing list on (ahem) another email provider. Can I import the list in bulk (and later add individual subscribers myself) without double opt-in on the Tier 1 plan? Or would I need to upgrade to Empire to do that?

Yes, you may upload your cleaned lists and contacts yourself and later add more contacts manually.
Contacts who were added manually or via CSV file import do not receive the confirmation email, nor do they have to confirm the subscription before they can receive emails from you.
This is because we trust that users will bring only their subscribers from other platforms and upload them to their accounts.
Those imported contacts will never receive the confirmation email, and you may email them freely. They will usually show as active but not confirmed.
IMPORTANT:
Please keep in mind that you should verify all your contacts before importing contacts into SendFox!
It is recommended to run your database with an email verification service in order to clean it from invalid, fake, suspended, and inactive email addresses. This improves your deliverability rate.
Also, never use SendFox to warm up your database.
