Can your API handle unsavoury content? I.e for your scanning APIs.
Like if some text contains some very bad words or phrases in it, will the AI have a meltdown? Or it will still be able to give a proper response. Also, if your company has any standing on this - it would be helpful to know.
Can’t control the content submitted via external parties e.g. if unsavoury UGC (e.g. comments) are being reported or fresh submissions are being scanned etc.
Can also get mass spam that is attempting to promote very naughty things.
So basically, wanting to know if sharp api could be used to defend against things like this.
Also, for the limits - any thoughts on if they will update proportionally to your site plans over time as the costs for AI decrease?
The top tier does not map 1:1 in terms of limits to your sites’ top tier for example.
Yes, SharpAPI can handle unsavoury content. We already offer a Spam Detector workflow within SharpAPI, and this week, we are launching an Advanced Profanity Detector as part of a new batch of AI workflows. Together, these can be implemented as part of a powerful content moderation tool for any online software platform. This means SharpAPI can help detect and filter out spam, offensive...
Thanks. So, from what I understand, SharpAPI integrate with AI models removing the need for non tech people to have to code use coding/developer to take advantage of what all these AI models out there can do?
The main purpose of SharpAPI is to provide AI-powered workflows in the form of an API without the need to know anything about the underlying AI engine. To use it, one needs to be acquainted with REST APIs first. It must still be integrated into an existing software or a platform that can utilise external API. If it's a custom software platform - you'd still need the developer's help.

will come with content rewrite? such as i have blog a to rewrite to blog b or product description a rewrite to product b or customize prompt to output what i need i see your api catalog, it's seem like a " customize prompt for ai"
A: Yes, SharpAPI supports content rewriting. You can paraphrase blog contents or rewrite product descriptions with a customized tone and style. Our API lets you design specific workflows, control prompts, and ensure reliable, repeatable outputs. It’s like customizing AI for your exact needs. SharpAPI will never use OpenAI format ... because we're not OpenAI and our product is not designed to replace it.
We are working on customized workflow builders though that will be much closer to what you're describing. But those workflows will still keep the current SharpAPI communication protocols/formats.

Now I see that the "Custom endpoint configuration" would not allow me to replicate the OpenAI, Ollama or any other compatible API.
I just wanted to have a way to link your API to these utilities that only accept OpenAI, Ollama, OpenRouter,... without the need of an additional software in the middle that would convert the SharpAPI output.
The core business model of SharpAPI is fundamentally different from that of a generic LLM AI API. While OpenAI APIs are inherently open-ended, lacking input parameter control and structured output by default, SharpAPI’s model focuses on strict control of both input and output, delivering repeatable, enterprise-ready, and straightforward RESTful workflow automation.
