: Promising Tool with Room for Improvement
: Promising Tool with Room for Improvement
I recently had the chance to try out Skoop, and while I see a lot of potential in this tool, I must admit my experience has been quite disappointing due to several technical issues.
At first glance, the idea behind Skoop is fantastic. It aims to help users build authentic connections through hyper-personalized videos, voice memos, and animated GIFs. However, the execution seems to fall short. I've encountered persistent issues with the interface, which has been frustrating to navigate. Additionally, the audio quality has been inconsistent, affecting my ability to communicate effectively—especially when I'm recording my screen at the same time.
One of the most annoying aspects has been the oversized "S" logo that appears prominently on the screen while using the tool. It's not only distracting but also detracts from the content I'm trying to present. A simple adjustment could make a significant difference in the overall experience.
While the concept of creating personalized video content and AI-generated responses is a great one, these bugs have hindered me from fully enjoying the benefits of Skoop. I truly believe that with a few tweaks and improvements, Skoop could be a valuable asset for anyone looking to enhance their outreach efforts. The idea is solid, and I'm hopeful the team behind Skoop will address these issues soon. For now, though, it's not quite there yet.
Overall, I would recommend keeping an eye on Skoop for future updates, as the core concept is promising, but be prepared for some initial hiccups.

Nov 27, 2024max-robykurt thanks so much for your review. We are always open to improving the interface but it was designed to work in a logical order. The video button is prominent as that is the main feature. The feature below is the saved messages which is used very often.
I was an award-winning UX and UI person years ago but again it was a while ago and I am sure my designs can be improved. See the link at the bottom to meet with me to discuss and we can improve it together.
If you have an example of what would work better once you explored all the features - let me know. We are always open to change.
And as far as the quality of sound I have to talk to my engineers/developers as I have not had that complaint with the initial 300 testers. So I will dig into that as that is a new mention.
However, you can simply click the gear icon and select the device of your choice. The quality of the sound is usually associated with the device it is connected with. It is possible (and it happens to me) that it is connecting with the other Mic as a default. For example, sometimes, my computer laptop ends up being the default if I unplug my good mic. So, the computer's built-in mic is farther away, thus the sound being bad.
The sound quality of the Mic is only as good as the device itself or the settings or how far away the device is.
Now the "S logo tab" you mentioned that was in the way is designed to be dragged out of the way. Simply click and hold and drag down or up. Actually, that was a big request we implemented several months ago. And it can be annoying if it is it is in the way of another tab or object.
I will tell you what, please schedule time (you and anyone else) for a demo and discussion on some of these features (and what you would like improved).
