Even with ready deck templates, I find it such a chore to churn out monthly reports and dread doing the tedious mind-numbing cut and paste. I chanced upon Slidefill and tried it out for work and it’s been such a lifesaver that I ended up purchasing it for my own personal account just in case. While there’s an initial learning curve and having to tweak the designs of your Google slides so that your data will be formatted nicely, once you have that down it’s just like magic seeing your decks ready within minutes!

When I came across Slidefill, I was intrigued at its proposition for generating decks within minutes just from Google sheets. It was exactly what I was looking for as a marketer who requires numerous campaign reports across various clients with limited resources. The reports looked great and clients were impressed by the quick turnaround of the reports since using Slidefill. When I encountered a bug in my account, Megan, the founder herself responded quickly and so attentively even though we were timezones away. It was fixed within a day and I'm looking forward to their new features in the pipeline. One of my best buys on Appsumo!

First of all -- I really appreciate the easy UX and straight-forward flow. I asked Megan for help thinking it would be difficult, but ended up figuring out the app in about 5 min.
I think you can look at this as something maybe straight forward for sales, account management. Of course they'll want to create tailored presentations for each client, and even for each month. But secretly it can also be leveraged very well by coaches by creating deliverables, so it can strengthen your offer. That was my use-case anyway. While I can do it now, it's not programmatic, waiting for the next update in January '25 though ;)

This is the first time I've had a problem I wanted to solve and turned to AppSumo first to see if there was an app here that could solve it. I used ChatGPT to build a script in Google Slides to duplicate a deck and put content in the place of placeholders throughout the deck. But it was glitchy and my patience wore thin. Hence, the search. SlideFill is almost exactly what I had in mind and it works really well for this purpose. Add placeholders in a Google Slides deck, create a Google Sheet that matches up with those placeholders, pair the two together. Great app.
