I like the simple interface, makes it easy to navigate. Does what it sets out to do, taking a longer form talking video and splicing it up into relevant segments.

I would love a few extra tools such as custom trimming a clip if you don't like where it cut. Also, I noticed it has highlight tools, supposedly for highlighting the exact word as it's being spoken, but nobody on our team could figure out how to get that to work.

Has worked really well for me so far. Particularly impressed that it picks up my "unlisted" YT videos as I often need to create clips from those before releasing the full video - I've tried other clip-creator platforms that have (surprisingly) not been able to pull up unlisted videos. I love the wide range of caption styles, again, something that is often very limited on other platforms unless you purchase a high priced subscription. Being able to create your own template saves so much time.

My wish list for improvement so far:
- ability to zoom in/out
- AI recognition of speaker so that it follows the speaker if they move around (I thought I had read that it does this - must be mistaken)
- ability to add more than one logo to the screen on any given brand
- ability to custom-create your own clip with start/end times

Complete tasks but not everytime. I hope it will be better.

The product is undoubtedly interesting, with significant development potential, and with the Lifetime deal on AppSumo, it’s definitely a great purchase.

However, at the moment, it is still immature and limited.

There are many shortcomings in the system: the interface is very restricted, and basic functions like horizontal movement of captions (X Axis) are missing.

Text management is very limited and somewhat cumbersome compared to other solutions on the market.

Themes and customizations are spread across multiple screens, despite there being only six fonts available.

The video conversion codecs generate a higher level of artifacts compared to competing products.

The B-roll feature is not yet active, the feedback system on the website is sparse, and the roadmap is nonexistent.

That said, for the price paid on AppSumo and for those without specific needs, it’s a great solution that will save a lot of money for most amateur creators. However, at this stage, the final quality is not on par with more established systems. Therefore, if you’re a professional creator or an agency, it’s better to consider other options.

I bought Snapcut a month ago and just started playing around with it today. I was so impressed that I quickly upgraded from Tier 1 to Tier 3. I'm always on the lookout for tools I can use in my consulting business or my nonprofit, and that I can recommend to my clients. I've bought a lot of tools here on AppSumo, and sometimes, there are a few that I find exceptional for my needs. I feel SnapCut is one of those "exceptional" finds.

It is very easy to use. The ease of use means I can install and get at least a satisfactory result quickly. As a busy entrepreneur, quick ROI is key for me. I was able to test 2 long-form videos and have multiple "quality" clips that I can add to my content posts. This is huge. It would take my team significantly longer to do this through video editing.

The videos are actually pretty good and don't require additional editing. I could literally post the clips "as-is" but I chose to edit and add word highlights, branding, etc.

It's a cost-effective solution. A one-time payment of $229 is super-cost effective when I think of the time it saves me and my assistant. The time saved will quickly outweigh the investment spent.

Overall, this is a great purchase and is definitely a keeper. I hope the business does well and is able to sustain the AppSumo offer. Lately, there have been several tools going under and changing the original deals because they are struggling to create sustainable businesses. It's always disappointing to incorporate a tool into your operations only to have to remove it because the business is unable to sustain itself. A few things I'd like to see in added at some point to make the tool more effective:
-Ability to add time duration to the B-roll option. I'd like to extend the time by a few seconds, and I couldn't see how to do that.
-An add-on for additional credits if I go past my monthly allotment (not sure I will but it would be good to know there is an option)
-When editing a caption and adding highlights, it would be nice to be able to highlight multiple words and add the highlight color to all as opposed to just one word at a time
