Our revenue shares only apply if you choose to sell places on your courses directly through Steppit – this is what we recommend if you need an all-in-one solution that can take away some of the costs and time-consuming tasks you’d otherwise face when selling to people around the world, such as automatically processing payments from your sales. If you choose this option, from every course sale you make, a small % goes to Steppit to cover the direct costs associated with payment processing and calculating sales taxes, as well as a contribution to the general costs of running the platform. The size of your revenue share will vary depending on the license plan you choose: with Tier 1 you would take 85% of your course sales and Steppit would take 15%, with Tier 2 you would take 88% and Steppit would take 12%, and with Tier 3 you would take 92% and Steppit would take 8%.

No revenue share is applied if you wish to host the sales transaction yourself, for example, if you can sell via your own website or e-commerce platform and process your own payments. In this case, you can use the monthly enrollments included with your AppSumo license at no extra cost.
