Q: Unable to 'Separate' projects for different project managers

In the current setup, my project manager who manages multiple projects can see all projects, but I don't want him to access certain projects, so I made him a member, but then he has to ask me to create an extra project and assign him. I want him to add the projects himself, but it’s not possible unless I make him ‘Project Manager’ but then he can access all projects and I don’t want that, just the ones he’s assigned to or created by himself. Maybe make ‘project groups’ so we can assign to a group and separate these?

Is there a solution to do this? I couldn't find it and didn't see it on the roadmap?

A: Hi,

we are working on making more granular permissions. In the meantime you could create a few projects and assign them to your "member/ PM" and let him edit and develop each on in his own time. Since you have unlimited projects - you could create a few template ones for him.

+1 for granular permissions so I can keep folders and files private from employees who don’t need to see or access them. Additionally, please include an option to block certain users from downloading files to protect client information from being stolen.
