Company has gone dark after end of AppSumo campaign
I'm starting to have doubts about my Tier 5 purchase and the refund button is ready at hand in case this trend continues.
The reason being Swipe One seems to have suddenly gone dark since their AppSumo campaign ended several weeks ago. It's like POOF, they've suddenly disappeared or gone quiet after collecting capital and customers here on AppSumo.
I'm subscribed on their marketing list but haven't seen any emails or updates on development, bug fixes and new features over the last month. Their social media channels are inactive and dead. And they seem uninterested in actively promoting their product beyond the AppSumo campaign, such as on YouTube and other review outlets.
I also see many questions (including mine) here on AppSumo being ignored or left unanswered. Many reliable companies I've seen continue to respond on AppSumo to interact with potential customers and support existing users, but unfortunately Swipe One doesn't seem to be one of them.
I still hold on to hope because I hear this company has a pretty solid track record (with Swipe Pages) and the founder Swami was genuine in his communication throughout the campaign, but going dark as soon as the campaign is over is never a great look in my opinion.
The end of their campaign should've marked the start of Swipe One's journey, not the end or a hiatus, whatever this is. Would've really liked to see several email updates, bug fixes and minor tweaks being pushed, and maybe an announcement or two of new features and roadmap updates they've worked on over the last month.
While Swipe One is still relatively new and unpolished, its a sleek and modern CRM with tons of potential. I sincerely hope that Swami and the company behind it won't botch this endeavor just because of poor communication practices. I hope they will turn things around and start communicating more proactively with us early investors, while continuing to grow further by marketing towards more potential customers.
For now I will leave a 2-Taco rating for the concerns above, but I'll be happy to update this as soon as I start seeing consistent activity with this product and its team.
