A: That's correct. As a SaaS company, we incur costs for the life of the account, so an LTD as such a huge discount is not sustainable for most SaaS companies. Therefore, AppSumo and Tarvent are trying a new type of deal that is still a huge win for sumo-lings, while allowing Tarvent to stay in business over the long term.
A: The Email API creates only count towards transactional email that you send using our API. These include emails like password recovery, order confirmation, notification emails, and more that are triggered in real time based on user interactions. When they interact, your system would make an API call to ours to send an email. This is what Email API credits are for. For normal campaigns and...
A: While I could give you the typical sales answer and say we will definitely have better deliverability than ActiveCampaign, it's tough to say because there are so many variables that determine deliverability, including minute-by-minute reputations. That said, what I can tell you is that if there are issues, you'll get far better support from our team than most other ESPs can offer. We deal with...
A: Thanks for asking. The one-year deal isn't meant to be a stopping point but an end to the deal and a transition to a little more standard pricing that helps us stay in business.
Tarvent appears to be a robust platform. While I appreciate the understanding that one-time payment LTDs aren't ideal for sustained capital generation, I'm curious about the rationale behind choosing an "annual deal" structure instead of a "lifetime annual deal," specifically from a capital generation perspective.
Price predictability is a significant factor for early adopters. The Tier 3 pricing example highlights this: while the initial $206.10 for the first year is attractive, the advertised increase to $936 in year two (even with the 50% discount) represents a substantial jump. This raises concerns about long-term cost predictability, especially due to the lack of assurance against further price increases in subsequent years, potentially impacting the long-term affordability and value proposition for early adopters?
A: Great question and thank you for not just bashing. Even the 1yr deal is less than we can sustain for an annual LTD price. Honestly, this is new to us and we never considered making the 1yr a lifetime price. Call it short-sighted but we're a smaller team with a massive platform that takes a lot of time, just we clearly didn't spend a LS much time on thinking through the deal. That said, the 1yr...

Q: Please explain how the email API and unlimited emails works and more
I purchased Tier2 (3K contacts) to see how it works for one year BUT I do not fully understand the 100 email API credits.
So does this mean that I am allowed to send only 100 emails each month or 100 emails period to 3K contacts?
What happens when I exceed the 100 emails limit?
Thanks.

Q: How does the delivery rate
How does the delivery rate compare to ActiveCampaign? If I switch to this platform, is there a way to ensure my emails land in the recipient's inbox?

Q: Why not opt for a Lifetime Annual Deal?

While I appreciate the understanding that one-time payment LTDs aren't ideal for sustained capital generation, I'm curious about the rationale behind choosing an "annual deal" structure instead of a "lifetime annual deal," specifically from a capital generation perspective.
