Another „Best of AppSumo Purchases“ I have made!

First, I want to thank the Thoughtly team and AppSumo for this great product. I can genuinely say this is one of the best purchases I've made on AppSumo, and I'm so lucky I bought it.

Initially, I was very skeptical because I had already tried out some similar products, and they were terrible. Additionally, the fact that this product was non-refundable added to my skepticism. I made sure to use a method of payment with purchase protection in case it turned out to be really bad, so I wouldn't have a financial loss. (Between us: this was the only time and will be the only time I’d purchase a non-refundable product unless it is already vetted, well-known, and has a solid user base. But with Thoughtly, I played around a little and thought it was solid, so I made the purchase.)

I am so glad I purchased this because it already saves me so much time! My work schedule is: Mondays for admin time, Tuesdays and Thursdays for meetings, Wednesdays for communications and admin time, and Fridays and Saturdays for creation, inspiration, research, and reviews.

Especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I don't really have the time to listen to voicemails and call back everyone to see what their questions are and what kind of assistance they need. Now with Thoughtly, I have my virtual receptionist to whom I forward calls when I’m busy. If clients have specific product questions, the virtual receptionist is able to answer them, provide business and product information, take notes, schedule calls, or even transfer calls when needed.

This wasn't something I had in mind when I made the purchase. Rather, I intended to use Thoughtly to call our clients to inform them about office closures in case of an approaching disaster and share emergency contact details.

But setting up this virtual receptionist has made my work life so much more pleasant.

I understand there are some comments mentioning that training the agent hasn't been easy. However, compared to other options that require training, this was very intuitive and easy (and if you’re still struggling, please feel free to reach out).

When it comes to support, I received responses in about 1-2 days if I recall correctly.

I also didn't have issues with the verification process. I completed that part right after the purchase and activation, before purchasing a number, and everything went smoothly!

What I really love are the voice selection and the option to add additional background sounds to make it sound more "live."

I also like that I don't have to deal with all those Twilio settings and setups and appreciate the convenience of just grabbing a number.

If I had more time on my hands, I'd call my receptionist myself all the time because I'm really fascinated by it. At the end of last year, my virtual assistant who worked for me quite a while decided to start her own business, and left. I just didn't have the time to look for new candidates, make selections, hire, and train them. Now with this virtual receptionist, I definitely have more time while knowing my clients are being well taken care of! So far, I've received only positive feedback about the Thoughtly agent answering phone calls. And it’s really convenient that you can call and talk to the agent in the middle of the night, ask if a certain person is available or can call back, directly schedule meetings, or just leave a message that I can read in my email instead of having to listen to a voicemail.

If I had more traffic I would definitely get the next higher tier. Really very very happy about this product and the purchase and thank you once more for this offer!

I’m a believer!

It took me weeks to train. I turned it on for after hours appointment booking and, it simply does its job. I still have a human conformation step involved, but it saves me time and keeps the phones answered.

Promising Potential, but Business Verification Needs Improvement

Thoughtly has a lot of potential with its intuitive workflow, easy configuration, and easy to set up simple knowledge base. The platform seems well-designed for streamlining operations.

However, I encountered an issue when trying to purchase a local number for making and receiving calls. The system requires business verification, but despite multiple attempts, my verification was not approved. I also reached out to support but have yet to receive a response.

I’d love to see this issue addressed, as I believe Thoughtly could be a great tool. If the team is able to help resolve this, I’d be happy to update my review accordingly.

Thoughtly Looked Promising, But Ended Up a Frustrating Mess

The concept is great, and I was excited to try it, but getting set up was a mess. The onboarding process felt clunky, and when I ran into issues, support was nowhere to be found. I had to reach out multiple times, and even then, it felt like I was just being given the runaround.

Then there’s the no-refund policy, which is honestly the most frustrating part. I took a chance on this, and now I’m stuck with something that doesn’t even work properly. I get that new platforms can have growing pains, but if you're going to charge people, at least make sure the basics are solid.

At this point, I’ve pretty much given up on it. Maybe they'll improve over time, but right now, I can’t recommend it. Save yourself the frustration.

Disappointed

If you are outside the US don't even think about buying this "deal" you gonna waste your time and money! To make it short and simple you will not be able to buy a phone number hence you will not be able to use their platform.
