I have finally found a replacement for TeamViewer.

I have finally found a replacement for TeamViewer. ViewFlip is useful, as I use it to ask for help from my partner when debugging. I encounter problems, so I need to contact my partner to help me. With ViewFlip, I can easily share my screen with them, and we can work remotely as if we are working together in person, even though we are far away! Also, this helps provide support to clients. This tool is also a massive help for collaborating with anyone who wants to provide remote support. I recommend this tool.

If I run into any issues, I can find experts sorted by language and rating

I recently started using Viewflip, and I have to say, it’s been a total lifesaver for my remote work! 💻✨ As someone who often collaborates with teammates and clients, having a tool that works smoothly on both Windows and macOS is a huge plus.

Setting up remote access is so easy—just a couple of clicks, and I can share my screen or limit access to specific windows. This is super important for me since I sometimes deal with sensitive information. I love how I can let others join in on my work without giving them full access to everything! 🙌

I also appreciate the ability to use multiple mouses and keyboards during a session. It makes working together feel so much smoother and more natural. Plus, when I'm done, I can easily pause or end the session, which gives me peace of mind. 😊

The user experience is fantastic! I get pop-up notifications for connection requests, so I’m always in the loop. And the fact that it supports both light and dark modes means I can use it however I prefer.

One of my favorite features has to be the instant technical support. If I run into any issues, I can find experts sorted by language and rating, whether they’re from my team or outside. It’s great knowing help is just a click away! 🛠️

Great Getscreen alternative

I've been testing out Viewflip, and I have to say, it works really well! It's similar to GetScreen, but the cool thing about Viewflip is that it focuses on sharing individual Windows/Mac apps. You can share your entire desktop if you want, but the standout feature is the ease of screen sharing just one app at a time.

Here’s a quick rundown of the setup process:
How to Share a Screen/App:

- Download the App: Sign up and verify your email, then pick a username.
- Get Ready to Share: Before you connect with someone else, make sure to focus on the Windows or Mac app you want to share.
- Connect with a Friend: Select the user you want to share with and establish the connection.
- Permission Prompt: The remote user will get a prompt asking if they want to view your screen (they can accept or deny).

Security:
One neat security feature is that the person requesting the connection is the one who shares their desktop or app. This helps keep things secure and prevents unauthorize entry.

Speed:
I tested it on two PCs side by side (connected through different ISPs), and I tried playing some video files and streaming YouTube. Everything ran smoothly on the remote side—no hiccups at all!

Pros:
- Quick Setup: Super easy to get started.
- Fast Streaming: Connections are speedy and reliable.
- User-Friendly: Very straightforward to use.
- No Residual Processes: The app doesn’t stick around in memory after you quit it, which is a nice change from some other remote desktop apps that still reside in memory despite main app being closed.
- Ability to switch from screen sharing a single app to entire desktop with click of a button.
- Free plan for everyone means you could assist anyone and they wouldn't need to pay for a subscription/license. My remote desktop was setup as a free user and I noted that my plan showed "TRIAL"

Cons:
- CPU/RAM Usage: It can be a bit heavy on CPU and RAM.
-Minor Bugs: I noticed the connection dialog sometimes hid in the background, so I had to minimize all apps to find it (This was on a windows PC). They should definitely make that dialog stay on top! Also, when I closed the app being shared, Viewflip seemed confused and thought it was still running, which left me with a blank window on the remote side.
- Website and app UI needs a make over
- Relatively new/unknown?

In summary, think of Viewflip as a tailored version of GetScreen or TeamViewer. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone wanting to screen share apps effortlessly!

Excellent -- The new gold standard for remoting

Killer software. Much more boundary setting is allowed. It's much more intuitive than others I've tried. They tried some new angles at remote viewing and operating, and they hit the mark each time.
