Not quite there yet

zCal is a promising tool with a pretty intuitive interface and all the basics of a scheduling app. The challenges may be a little more than I can overcome right now. The main hurdle for me right now is that Teams integration is blocked if you do not use SSO with your Office 365 business account to create and log into your zCal account. That means if you decide to switch from Office 365, you’ll have quite a hassle disentangling all that. It also requires yet another app direct access to your Office 365 account. I’m still waiting for tech support to get back to me about how to link Teams to zCal while using Email as my login method. Also, I didn’t find a way to create comprehensive forms within the app, which is one of the reasons I’ve never stopped using Acuity Scheduling. Until they add some of these features, I can’t consider zCal a viable replacement for the tools I currently use.

Tech support was good about answering my questions. Setup was easy. I’m interested to see where this goes. I see great potential.
