I bought this plugin thinking it might make a good directory plugin for my real estate website. What the platform fails to tell you here is that the aDirectory plugin is actually free, it's just the addons (which I never planned to use) that are paid.

Just a couple issues to point out here also: 1) the plugin adds a few pages automatically so if you uninstall, make sure to redirect those links 2) I never used the PRO features so I won't comment but I found this plugin to be extremely poor in quality over all 3) the redeeming process is annoying.

I was initially drawn to this directory plugin on AppSumo by its value proposition, which indeed holds true. As someone familiar with the costs associated with directories, this plugin caught my attention.

Overall Impressions: The plugin is solidly built with good functionality, making it a reliable choice for a directory plugin. It includes several extensions, allowing users to pick and choose the ones that best fit their needs. Additionally, the plugin comes with themes created by the author to aid in styling, which is a nice touch. The drag and drop builder is great and well thought out.

Conclusion: For those looking to develop a directory or in the early stages of building a website with directory capabilities, this plugin is a great buy. However, for users with existing directories, compatibility issues might pose a challenge. Overall, the plugin is well-built, structured, and supported by an active community, making it a solid choice for the right users. After using and setting, up, it's not for me. It is close though. I give it 4 tacos. For my use case it seems to not be as effective as I would like it to be in its current state. I will refund based one that. As with most Wordpress solutions, it has to work with your intended goals.

I’ve been using aDirectory.io and am genuinely impressed with how easy it is to work with. The plugin is perfect for creating business directory listings, and their team is incredibly creative, active, and responsive—always a big plus!

While I think there’s room to add a few more features, what’s already available is a fantastic starting point. For anyone who loves using Elementor Page Builder, this plugin works seamlessly. However, as someone who prefers the block editor, I’d love to see a couple of demo themes added to the roadmap.

My suggestion? Incorporate demos with the Blocksy free classic theme (a very generous free option) and an FSE theme like Greenshift for better page optimization and improved speed. These additions would make aDirectory.io even more versatile and performance-focused.

Overall, a great product with lots of potential—keep up the amazing work!

A couple weeks ago, if I recall prior to a price increase I bought aDirectory and I bought it at max level because my strategy includes unlimited sites.

I would like to think I am careful about how I spend funds and on AppSumo my focus is not always on the immediate need but rather how the product or offering fits into my strategy.

It was immediately obvious to me the lack of documentation and videos being far from perfect. But it was also obvious that they were working on this. Even in one of their own screen shots they showed their own AppSumo product purchase which as a product to help with videos.

Previously I had bought a competitors suite then refunded it because I could not justify the use case and buying all of the products offered by the other company would be way too expensive.

When I looked most of the negative reviews on aDirectory was around activation and people had done the refund. So going into I knew I might have problems but hoping I would not. Sure enough I could not activate. Reached out to them in a number of ways, I hope not being too pushy but found the support portal and did open a ticket. It was resolved.

Then they fixed the activation issues for everyone and say they worked with AppSumo to do this.

Downloaded the product, I thought it was just a Wordpress plugin , it's not. Rather a compressed file with several files so extract it first.

But I found what for me was a showstopper. I don't see a big need to point out what the show stopper was but I really did not want to refund the product so I reached out to them and personally discussed my concerns one on one, they agreed with me and it appears to now be fixed.

I had spent nearly 2 days doing research on the company to reach the confidence level to buy the product and did not expect to be making any bug reports any time soon. But I am pleasantly surprise and looking now at their entire product suite to see if I want to get the entire thing to allow quick deployment on sites.

I am happy to give 5 stars because they are working hard, and I trust they will deliver the best!
