Q: Is it possible to livestream on LinkedIn using pre-recorded videos?

Please confirm if that can be done without informing the audience. In other words, the audience thinks it is a live stream, when it's actually pre-recorded.

Thank you.

A: With meetn right now, you can do that manually by pre-loading the video into a "widgets" folder, and then playing the video on the livestream. But we do not have an automated way to do that right now. We will be moving in that direction.

Q: How to manage rooms?

Could you clarify how the static link of the rooms works?

Specifically, if I need to use the same room for different events of different brands at different times, as it is a fixed address, don't I run the risk that the participants of a session/brand enter another one which they should not enter?

In short, how should a one-day event be managed where rooms are set up for each brand at a specific time, but in which visitors from other brands should not participate?

How to prevent visitors from infiltrating sessions in which they should not participate, if the link is the same?

A: Sure. The primary way to manage entry to use the waiting room. But you can also set s 4-digit passcode on the room as a whole, or for an event in particular. And with app sumo tiers 2-5 you have multiple rooms, so you can use different rooms for different brands.

In practical experience, the theoretical problem is rarely an issue.

Some people use one room as a primary meeting room, and...

Q: User Flow + Recording + Streaming

Hi Rick,

Thank you for coming to Appsumo. Can you please explain how a user enters the meeting.

1) Do they have to make an account with Meetn first or can they simply click a meeting link and join a meeting. My preferred use case is that they click a link and join without any further steps.

2) Can I get the meeting recording file for uploading to or to repurpose it and if yes, what is the max resolution I can get that file in.

3) For streaming, what is the maximum resolution I can get. Also, how good is the audio ? Do you also have a sample link of an event streamed on Youtube in case I want to take a look ?

Sorry for the barrage of questions and I would really appreciate your clarification on below.

A: Sure.

1) Guests join by clicking the room / event link and typing their name. Admins must register and provide an email and desired password. Hosts can either be assigned (in "menu / room permissions" --which is more permanent -- or can use a "host link" that you find in "menu / invite people" -- which is more temporary.

2) You can get recordings as mp4 or mp3, and they are in 1080p. Each...

Q: Updated?

Hi there, I am checking your product, I went to your landing page and found a video making reference to the pandemic. So this is a bit old already no?

Also, when looking at the Social Network where we can live stream our meetings, Twitter is listed. Twitter changed name already a while ago, and we are aware of several API changes on their side, so is it possible to still stream on X without having to pay the incredibly high API fees on their side.

Given these comments, is your product still maintained properly and with a nice roadmap ahead?

Thanks

A: We do not currently have annotation. The teaching niche is one that I do want to serve, but it's not one we currently focus on. I would recommend one of the specialty services for your niche.
