I've downloaded a handful of deals but this one stands out, great app, great customizations to visually organize my boookmarks, really fast. I use this nearly every day so I highly recommend.

There are two features I'd like to see added that I'm gonna drop right here for visibility.

1) I'd like to be able to upload a custom Icon for the bookmarks. It's current method of pulling the image works like 95% of the time but for the few times it doesn't I'd like to just add my own image, For example google workspace apps like google keep/notebookLM currently only show the default google logo becuase it's trying to grab the icon from the signin page.

2) The chrome extension. First off really cool that they even have one where you can save URLs to your space in one click. What I would love to see added is the option to allow minimarks to take over your default new tab but homepage.

- There are other extensions that let you change the new tab to whatever link you like. but I always keep my browser in dark mode and these other 3rd party extensions blink this bright white screen state before redirecting to your app of choice

- A native extension redirect should bypass that blink state and just open the extensions default, the extension should also keep you logged in because occasionally I have to relog into my account it'd be cool if the extension would also keep you logged in.

I really like Minimarks because of its simple design. At first, I wasn't sure if I needed it, but once I started using it, I realized how great it is. I use it with my Vivaldi browser, and it has made my workflow so much easier and smoother. It's one of the few tools I've bought from AppSumo that I use every day!

For me, Minimarks.io offers a good amount of minimalism. The clarity and simplicity is just right for me, so I'm not distracted by unnecessary elements. Also important for my everyday browsing: it is a real timesaver! I look forward to seeing the tool grow.

Here's a "power tip" for researchers or other users who may be hesitant to try out minimarks, because they think that the app doesn't support lengthy or verbose bookmark titles. When looking at screenshots of minimarks, it may appear that minimarks only supports website icons (favicons) and an optional short name (like "Wikipedia", for example). This is incorrect. minimarks actually supports bookmark names with lengths above 100 characters! "Wikipedia's Lists of The New York Times number-one books" ‒ this is an actual wiki page.

Two reasons for wanting lengthy bookmark titles:
1. Some users employ tagging schemes or other tokens, dates or ratings in their titles to help organize them and aid in later retrieval. "Wikipedia - NYT Lists - oct2024 - multiple authors - English". This is a serious difference between Pocket (which does not allow modifying bookmark titles) and Instapaper (which does). You can also identify a bookmark with only a single favicon, if that's your preference. Different spaces (pages) can display different layouts, with 1 up to 4 columns. Very long bookmark titles will wrap if they exceed the line. Additionally, minimarks has its own hashtagging feature, plus you can add comments to any bookmark title if you need even more identifying text (quote part of the webpage).

2. Web developers often have to link to many individual pages on the same website, so that all those pages end up with the same favicon. Using verbose titles, hashtags, and comments, it is easy to differentiate large numbers of similar pages. Many bookmarking tools do not provide this level of detail (ie, Pocket).
