I had high hopes for Press Ranger based on the glowing reviews, but after actually using it, I can’t recommend it. Here’s why:

"Suggested Journalists" Are Not Relevant
The platform claims to help connect with the right journalists, but the recommendations I received were wildly off. Targeting is crucial for PR success, and this system missed the mark completely.

Email Outreach Went Nowhere
We have experience with PR and media outreach, but the emails we sent through Press Ranger resulted in zero responses. This makes me question the quality of their journalist database and whether our emails even reached the right inboxes.

Overpriced and Low-Quality Press Release Distribution
We paid $299 extra for their "higher-tier" press release distribution, expecting premium placement. Instead, we got a bunch of low-quality, irrelevant PR links on obscure feeds that provide zero SEO or visibility value. It felt like a waste of money.

Final Verdict
Press Ranger over-promises and under-delivers. If you're an entrepreneur looking for real media coverage or backlinks, this is not the tool for you. The outreach and press release distribution feel like empty PR gimmicks with no real impact. I regret this purchase and would advise others to look elsewhere for their PR needs.

I can't say anything negative about Press Ranger; it simply does what it says on the tin—great tutorials, an easy-to-navigate website, and a passionately engaged founder.

Most importantly, press releases that indefinitely stay online and do not disappear after a few months (something I've experienced in the past from other providers).

Highly recommend - easy 5-stars!

I immediately found myself well with the extremely clear and responsive interface. I think this is one of the tools to keep in the drawer of those who have to launch a product or service and who want to get noticed without spending a lot on advertising.
This is where this tool comes into play, which in a few clicks gives you the opportunity to get in touch with people who can really make a difference for your business.
However, once I have to say that when I contacted their support for clarifications on some additional features I had a latency of a few hours but then they explained that the team was very busy with Ai updates, after that I always had quick and precise answers. It seems to me that they really care about their customers.
Honestly, I have not encountered major problems with the validity of the contact data and I must say that I then found the integrated CRM functional, it simplifies our work and makes it more effective to have valid and functional PR.

I'm no stranger to press releases, when I worked at start ups like Uber and Lime we had a department that handled getting me set up with local journalists and publishers. When I started my own company in 2020 it quickly became evident that there was a reason it took an entire department to get consistent placements and generate interest, I'm not ashamed to admit that a lot of those efforts stalled out for me because I just did not have the large amount of money to hire out those tasks or the time and expertise to take it on myself.

Enter Press Ranger. The software is very useful in letting you set up your various business profiles (or just one depending on your needs) and helping you start searching out journalists, podcasters, and publishers you may want to contact. The CRM feature was completely unexpected to me, as is very helpful at keeping track of your outreach efforts. What really shined for me, however, was the ability have it use it's AI to help you craft a press release. It does a good job of getting you 90% of the way there, and their robust notion pages will give you all the information and context you could need.

Like I said the tool is incredible, but honestly it's Steve that makes this software stand out. He literally reads and replies to every email, and it's clear he goes in and checks out your company to learn more about it. The two of us have been communicating back and forth as he helps me polish this press release I'm going to distribute, let's be honest folks, that's not only unheard of but also shows me this software is going to go far because the founder is getting his hands dirty every day learning how his customers are using the tool and what problems they are running into.

5 out of 5 Tacos seems stingy, but alas it's all I can give it.
