Once an account is unlocked, you can upload statements for the current and previous tax years (2024–2025) under our fair usage policy. Statements beyond these years aren’t covered by your...
Q: Our use case is analyzing bank statements for 1000's of potential clients,
they will have statements from different banks and in different formats. Is there a fit here or it seems you only allow a small number of banks per user?
A: Our plans are structured around a limit on the number of unique bank or credit‐card accounts —our largest Tier 3 covers up to 15 accounts. If you need to scale beyond these limits, please open a support ticket so we can discuss a custom solution.
A: Smart Clerk does not support uploading Excel or CSV spreadsheets. You’ll need to continue uploading your original bank and credit card statements as PDF files.
“Invoices” refers to any invoice you upload—whether it’s a sales invoice you issue to your customers or a purchase invoice issued to you from a vendor.
I'm very interested in automating data flow from my accounting software (Zoho Books). Currently, I see bank statement uploads as the main input.
Are there plans for API integrations to allow automatically pulling and processing of data, like invoices, from other platforms? If not, this would be extremely helpful. If so, any estimated timeline would be appreciated. This would greatly improve workflow. Thank you!

Q: Upload Excel Spreadsheets
I have data in Excel spreadsheets. Is it possible to upload this to Smart Clerk as well so that I can have a complete picture?
What are 'invoices'? Are these invoices (expenses for my business) or are these 'issuing invoices' to my customers?
